Biography

Melanie Stall, MD is an Instructor in the Department of Pediatrics at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in pediatric oncology.

Dr. Stall earned her medical degree at Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine. She completed her residency in pediatrics at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis and Le Bonheur Children's Hospital, followed by a fellowship in pediatric hematology/oncology at UT Southwestern Medical Center and Children's Medical Center.

Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2023.

Dr. Stall is a member of the Children’s Oncology Group, the American Association for Cancer Research, the American Society of Hematology, and the American Society of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.

Dr. Stall's research interests include healthcare disparities in pediatric cancer, improving communication between patients/families and healthcare professionals, and improving supportive care services. Her current work is focused on language-based disparities. She has delivered numerous presentations and published several academic articles related to her areas of expertise.
