  • Biography

    Daniel Okorodudu, M.D., M.H.S., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of its Division of Endocrinology. He specializes in diabetes, thyroid disorders, parathyroid disorders, and general endocrine disorders.

    Dr. Okorodudu earned his medical degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, where he also completed an internal medicine residency and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He received advanced training through a three-year endocrinology, metabolism, and nutrition fellowship at Duke University Medical Center, and also holds a master’s degree in clinical research from Duke.

    Board certified in internal medicine, endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism, Dr. Okorodudu joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2023.

    Dr. Okorodudu is a member of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, the Endocrine Society, the Texas Endocrinology Association, and the Texas Medical Association.

    Dr. Okorodudu has delivered several presentations and published peer-reviewed academic articles related to his areas of expertise. In addition, he is an associate producer of the movie Black Men in White Coats.

    In 2017, Dr. Okorodudu received the National Medical Association’s Top Healthcare Professionals Under 40 Award. In 2019, he and his brother, Dale Okorodudu, M.D., were honored by their high school with the Clear Creek Education Foundation’s Distinguished Alumni Award.

    Personal Note

    In his spare time, Dr. Okorodudu enjoys playing basketball, traveling, spending time with his family, and participating in church activities. He is also a hyperrealistic artist and occasionally displays his pieces at local galleries.
