Biography

Michael Rafferty, M.D. completed medical school at University of Minnesota Medical School 1998-2002,  psychiatry residency training at University of Minnesota Medical School, Department of Psychiatry 2002-6, Harold Lawn Research Fellowship 2005-6 focused on borderline personality disorder. ABPN Diplomate in General Psychiatry (2007) and Psychosomatic Medicine (2009). He has been on faculty since 2007 and is currently an Associate Professor in the Psychiatry Department. Formerly the Medical Director, MH Consultation-Liaison Team, VA North Texas Health Care System, he is now a consultation liaison psychiatrist at the William P. Clements, Jr. University Hospital, and serves as preseident of North Texas Society of Psychiatric Physicians. He has been involved in medical education for medical students, psychiatry residents, addiction psychiatry and consultation liaison psychiatry fellows.
