Dr. Vas earned his medical degree at St. John’s Medical College in Bangalore, India. He completed two residencies in psychiatry, first at Christian Medical College in Vellore, India, and then at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He received additional postgraduate training in psychiatry from the North Eastern Health Board in Ireland. Board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, he joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2007. He is a member of the Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder Spectrum clinical care team and is a clinician in the Psychoneuroendocrinology Research program.
