Williams is a board-certified emergency medicine physician and full Professor at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He has served on the UT Southwestern faculty since 2011 and is the Residency Program Director for Emergency Medicine. Dr. Williams earned a B.S. in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University, an M.D. from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, and completed his Emergency Medicine residency at Indiana University. He pursued an academic career at UT Southwestern, where he is a dedicated medical educator and program leader. He brings a strong work ethic and proven leadership in a large GME environment. His roles have included Assistant Program Director and Program Director, chair and co-chair appointments on departmental and interdisciplinary committees, and leadership positions within national organizations. His ares of interest are: health equity, medical education, compliance/accredidation and emergent occular complaints.
