Biography Nam Pham, M.D., Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center, and a member of its Division of Endocrinology. He focuses on diabetes, thyroid dysfunction, and pituitary disorders. Originally from Lakewood, California, Dr. Pham holds a bachelor's degree in chemistry and biology from Stanford University. He earned his medical degree and his doctoral degree in cell regulation at UT Southwestern, where he also completed internal medicine residency training and received fellowship training in endocrinology and metabolism. Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in internal medicine and endocrinology, he joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2022. Dr. Pham is an active member of the American College of Physicians and the Endocrine Society. He has delivered numerous presentations and published several academic articles related to his areas of expertise. He also holds three patents in the field of biomedical devices. His recent research experience includes studying the dynamics between pancreatic alpha cells and beta cells.
