Biography
Dr. Mathis is originally from Dallas, TX and received her initial medical training at UT Southwestern. She subsequently went to University of Washington, Boise, Internal Medicine for residency training. Dr. Mathis brings to UTSW a love for Internal Medicine and Medical Education; especially as UTSW is the institution where she got her start in medicine. She also has an interest in patient care utilization, which included a project from residency that utilized multidisciplinary management of patients who are high utilizers of health care resources. Dr. Mathis’ interests outside of medicine include music, cooking, reading, and traveling.
