Biography Henriette Mathis, M.D., is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of its Division of Hospital Medicine. Originally from Dallas, Dr. Mathis holds a bachelor's degree in biochemistry from Southern Methodist University. She earned her medical degree at UT Southwestern and completed internal medicine residency training at the University of Washington Boise. Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Mathis joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2014. She currently serves as Medical Director of the Medicine Secure Unit at Parkland Health and as Course Director of the Internal Medicine-Psychiatry Sub-internship for UT Southwestern Medical School. Dr. Mathis is an active member of the American College of Physicians, Dallas Country Medical Society, Society of Hospital Medicine, Texas Medical Association, and the National Medical Association, which she serves as a board member of its local affiliate, the C.V. Roman Medical Society. Personal Note Dr. Mathis’ interests outside of medicine include music, cooking, reading, and traveling.
