Jessica Pryor, M.D.

Jessica Pryor, M.D., is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She practices at Children’s Medical Center Dallas and serves as the lead for faculty development in the Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine. 

Dr. Pryor’s previous academic roles included Assistant Professor at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and Associate Clinician at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago in the Division of Hospital-Based Medicine, where she practiced inpatient pediatric medicine and newborn medicine. Dr. Pryor joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2025.

Her clinical interests include newborn care, specifically neonatal-early onset sepsis management, clinical care guideline development, quality improvement, and medical education and longitudinal mentoring. While at the Feinberg School of Medicine, she was chosen as a College Mentor for the class of 2023. She has been recognized multiple times for her excellence in teaching and medical education, including being honored as an Outstanding Teacher at the Feinberg School of Medicine. She was inducted into the Feinberg Academy of Medical Education (FAME).

Dr. Pryor earned her Bachelor of Science from the University of Notre Dame in Notre Dame, Indiana. She completed her medical degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in Houston, Texas. She completed her pediatrics residency at Washington University School of Medicine-St. Louis Children’s Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.
