  • Biography

    Theresa Huang, M.D., is an Assistant Professor of Radiology at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of its Community Radiology Division. She provides clinical imaging services at Parkland Hospital, Zale Lipshy University Hospital, and William P. Clements Jr. University Hospital. 

    Dr. Huang earned her bachelor’s degree in molecular biology at the University of California at Berkeley, and earned her medical degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. She completed her residency in radiology at Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee, and received advanced training in abdominal imaging through a fellowship at UT Southwestern. 

    Dr. Huang serves as the Coordinator for the Combined Modality Conference, and her dedication to quality improvement and patient safety is demonstrated by her membership on multiple committees, including the Body Quality Assurance Committee, the Body Structured Reporting Committee, the Ultrasound Operations Committee, the Thyroid Disease Oriented Team, the Outpatient Procedures Committee, and the Fluoroscopy Protocol Standardization Committee. 

    Dr. Huang is a member of national and international professional organizations including the American Roentgen Ray Society, the American College of Radiology, the Radiological Society of North America, the Society of Abdominal Radiology, the Texas Radiological Society, and the Texas Medical Association.

    Specializing in abdominal radiology, Dr. Huang has published numerous clinical guidelines, reports, and protocols for abdominal imaging procedures. Her topics have included gastrointestinal (GI) and genitourinary (GU) fluoroscopy, gynecologic and endocrine ultrasound, and thyroid imaging.
