  • Biography

    Praveen Srungaram, M.D., is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Intenal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of its Division of Digestive and Liver Diseases. His clinical interests include general gastroenterology and liver conditions.

    Dr. Srungaram earned his medical degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. He completed internal medicine residency training and an advanced training fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology at UT Southwestern.

    Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in gastroenterology, he joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2024.

    Dr. Srungaram is active in several professional societies, including theĀ American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the American Gastroenterological Association, and the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases.

    Dr. Srungaram considers himself a jack of all trades, but master of none except making a human connection with almost all of his patients. When not at work, he enjoys studying astronomy, bicycling, reading and writing prose and poetry, playing basketball, chess, working out at the gym, spending time with his kids, wife, and family members.
