Sumitha Hathiramani, M.D. Clinical Associate Professor School Medical School Department Internal Medicine Biography Sumitha Hathiramani, M.D., is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of the Division of Endocrinology. Dr. Hathiramani holds a bachelor's degree in liberal arts and a medical degree from the University of Missouri in Kansas City. She completed internal medicine residency training at UT Southwestern Medical Center followed by a fellowship in endocrinology at Washington University in St. Louis. Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in endocrinology, Dr. Hathiramani joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2009, before going into private practice in 2015. She came back and joined the faculty again in 2016, and is now an endocrinologist at the VA North Texas Health Care System. Dr. Hathiramani has been the Director of the ValYou Award, a local VA award that recognizes exceptional patient care. Personal Note Outside of medicine, Dr. Hathiramani volunteers with the Girl Scouts of America.
