Biography
David Scott, M.D., is an Assistant Professor of Radiology at UT Southwestern Medical Center, and a member of its Neuroradiology Division. His clinical interests include neurovascular imaging, spinal fracture assessment, and image-guided spinal procedures.
Dr. Scott holds a bachelor’s degree in zoology from the University of Florida, and a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from Florida State University. He earned his medical degree at University of South Florida College of Medicine, and completed his residency in diagnostic radiology at UT Southwestern. He then received advanced training in neuroradiology through a fellowship at the University of Miami.
Dr. Scott has focused his research on diffusion magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of pediatric cerebellar tumors and computed tomography (CT) angiography of the cerebral venous system. He has published on both topics.
At UT Southwestern, Dr. Scott is a member of the Robert W. Parkey, M.D., Endowment Campaign, and the Neuroradiology Spine Services Committee. He is also affiliated with several national and international professional societies, including the Radiological Society of North America, the American Society of Neuroradiology, and the American Society of Spine Radiology.
