Biography Cynthia Wei, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of its Division of Hematology and Oncology. Her clinical interests include thoracic oncology and general hematology-oncology. Dr. Wei holds a Bachelor of Science in biology from Cornell University and graduated summa cum laude. She earned her medical degree at UT Southwestern and received internal medicine residency training at Indiana University School of Medicine, where she served as Chief Resident. She then completed advanced training in hematology and oncology through a fellowship at Indiana University's Melvin and Bren Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center and served as Chief Fellow. Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Wei joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2023. Dr. Wei's research interests include providing patient-centered care to underserved populations and bringing clinical trial options to her patients. She has published investigations in peer-reviewed journals and presented her findings at scientific conferences. Dr. Wei sees patients at UT Southwestern’s Harold C. Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center’s main campus and RedBird locations.
