Biography Arpita Beechar, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of its Division of Rheumatic Diseases. Her clinical interests include rheumatologic autoimmune diseases and musculoskeletal ultrasound. Dr. Beechar holds a bachelor's degree in biology from The University of Texas at Austin, where she graduated summa cum laude. She earned her medical degree at The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. She completed internal medicine residency training and fellowship training in rheumatology at UTHealth Houston's Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center and LBJ Hospital, where she served as Chief Fellow. Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Beechar joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2024. Dr. Beecher is a member of the American College of Rheumatology. In her free time, Dr. Beecher enjoys hiking, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
