Biography

Anisha Ganguly, M.D., M.P.H., is an Assistant Instructor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of the Division of General Internal Medicine. She is the inaugural Health Equity Fellow in the Center for Innovation and Value at Parkland Memorial Hospital, a training program structured as a partnership between Parkland and UT Southwestern. Her clinical interests include primary care of the underserved, complex management of chronic disease and addiction medicine.

Originally from Austin, Texas, Dr. Ganguly holds bachelor's degrees in biological chemistry and Spanish literature from the University of Chicago. She received her medical degree from UT Southwestern, where she concurrently completed her master's in public health with a focus area in health disparities. She completed her internal medicine residency training at the University of Washington in Seattle and then returned to UT Southwestern and Parkland in 2022 to obtain additional training in health equity research and systems innovation.

Dr. Ganguly’s research interests include the interrogation of systemic racism in policy and system-level factors that manifest in health disparities and designing interventions to advance equitable delivery of care and health policy. Her prior research included projects focused on racial disparities in pain management and in access to breast cancer screening. This work has been recognized by the Institute for Healthcare Improvement and the New England Journal of Medicine Catalyst.

Dr. Ganguly is a member of multiple professional societies, including the Society of General Internal Medicine and the American College of Physicians.

Personal Note

During her free time, Dr. Ganguly enjoys gourmet cooking, hiking, practicing yoga, working on crossword puzzles, and traveling.
