Biography Philip Jarrett, MD MBA is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine evaluating the readiness and implementation challenges of automated systems in acute, unscheduled care. His work analyzes the opportunities and threats of generative AI in clinical diagnostics, predictive modeling, and academic scholarship. Dr. Jarrett serves as Vice Chair of the AI Committee at the American College of Emergency Physicians and Director of the UT Southwestern Emergency Medicine Journal Club Series. His research is currently supported by the Biomedical Advanced Research Development Authority (BARDA) and by a career development award from the National Foundation of Emergency Medicine (NFEM).
