Biography Chenlu Tian, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of the Division of Digestive and Liver Diseases. Dr. Tian grew up in the suburbs of Dallas, Texas. She holds a bachelor's degree in biochemistry and Asian Studies from Rice University in Houston, where she graduated summa cum laude. She received her medical degree at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She completed internal medicine residency training at Emory University in Atlanta and returned to UT Southwestern for advanced training through a gastroenterology fellowship. Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in gastroenterology, Dr. Tian joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2015. At UT Southwestern, Dr. Tian is the Director of the GI Fellowship Clinical Competency Committee. Dr. Tian is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Gastroenterology Association, the Dallas County Medical Society, and the Texas Medical Association. Personal Note Dr. Tian's interests outside of medicine include spending time with family, traveling the world, biking trails, and tasting ethnic cuisines.
