Seth Toomay, M.D.

Seth Toomay, M.D., is a Professor of Radiology at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of its Vascular Interventional Radiology Division. He also serves as Associate Vice President and Chief Medical Officer for Ambulatory Care. He provides clinical vascular and interventional radiology services at Parkland Memorial Hospital, Clements University Hospital, and Zale Lipshy University Hospital.

Dr. Toomay earned a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. He then received his medical degree from UT Southwestern, where he remained to complete radiology residency training, and fellowship training in interventional radiology.

Dr. Toomay has studied various topics in the vascular and interventional radiology field, and has published multiple research articles in peer-reviewed publications.

At UT Southwestern, Dr. Toomay serves as a member of the Health System Information Resources Committee, Library Advisory Committee, Professional Practice Plan Board, the Ambulatory Services Committee, Clinical Advisory Committee, Hospital Credentialing Committee, Radiation Safety Committee, Southwestern Health Resources Data Sharing Committee, Health System Electronic Health Records Workgroup, and the Health System Interventional Radiology Committee. He is also Vice Chair of the Radiology Structured Reporting Governance Committee.

Dr. Toomay has professional affiliations with the Society of Interventional Radiology, Western Angiographic and Interventional Society, and the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society.

Dr. Toomay also serves as a special reviewer for Radiologyinfo.org, a patient-focused website describing more than 230 radiology exams and procedures.
