  • Biography

    Raised in Mineral Wells,Texas, received BS Biology from Tarleton State University 1984 (Stephenville, TX). Master of Arts in Biology at Southern Methodist University 85-87 (degree 1991) for research in parasitology. Attended UT Southwestern Medical School 1987-1991, graduated May 1991. Completed 3 yr Family Medicine Residency in June 1994 at John Peter Smith Family Medicine Residency Program in Ft. Worth, TX. Worked in private goup practice 1994-1999 at North Hills Family Practice in North Richland Hills, Texas. Also, private group practice at Primary Care Specialists, St Paul Hospital, Dallas, TX 1999-2001. Accepted Asst. Faculty position at St Paul Family Medicine Residency Program 1/2001 and then UT Southwestern Family Medicine Residency Program in 2003 to present. Special interest includes Hospice and Palliative Medicine (Medical Director Lion Hospice 1996-2000; Med Director Community Hospice of Dallas 2000-present). Married and mother of 2 children.
