  • Biography

    Originally from New Mexico, Dr. White completed his neurosurgical training at UT Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas in 2000 and subsequently completed fellowship training in interventional neuroradiology. Dr. White specializes in the treatment of disorders of the blood vessels of the brain including aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations and cavernous malformations. He is actively involved with cerebral bypass for Moya Moya disease and other occlusive diseases of the cerebral vasculature. Dr. White is also actively involved in the treatment of cranial nerve compression syndromes such as trigeminal neuralgia and hemifacial spasm. His experience with subarachnoid hemorrhage has lead to an interest in adult hydrocephalus including normal pressure hydrocephalus. Dr. White serves as the director of the neurosurgery residency program at UT Southwestern Medical Center and is currently the Vice-Chief of staff for University Hospital Zale-Lipshy. He has been the director of the ICU and is the Chairman of the Surgical Best Practice Committee. Dr. White is active in regional and national neurosurgery including serving as President of the Rocky Mountain Neurosurgical Society and on the Joint Sponsorship committee of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons. Dr. White?s research interests include clinical outcomes after cerebrovascular surgery and the utility of MRI in the treatment of trigeminal neuralgia. He has authored numerous papers and book chapters on the treatment of disorders of the cerebrovasculature.
