  • Biography

    Angela Peterman Mihalic, M.D., is the Dean of Medical Students, Associate Dean for Student Affairs, and a Professor of Pediatrics at UT Southwestern.  She completed her pre-pharmacy coursework at Texas A&M University before graduating from the College of Pharmacy at The University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Mihalic then completed her medical degree at UT Southwestern Medical School and pediatric residency training at Children’s Medical Center Dallas. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a commitment to medical education across the continuum with experience as a college mentor, pediatric clerkship director, residency mentor, and involvement in faculty development nationally.  Dr. Mihalic has received numerous teaching awards, including the UT System Regent’s Outstanding Teaching Award, induction into the UT Kenneth I. Shine, M.D., Academy of Health Science Education, and Piper Professor in 2019.
