Biography
Shan Luong, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine.
Originally from China, Dr. Luong holds a bachelor's degree in biomedical science from Texas A&M University in College Station. She earned her medical degree at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. She completed internal medicine residency training followed by advanced training through a fellowship in sleep medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center.
Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Luong joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2014.
Dr. Luong is a member of the American College of Physicians and the Society of Hospital Medicine.
Personal Note
Dr. Luong’s interests outside of medicine include cooking, reading, and traveling.
