  • Biography

    Amanda Stark, MMS, PA-C, is a board-certified Physician Assistant and Assistant Professor driven by a commitment to evidence-based, compassionate patient care and educational excellence.

    Professor Stark earned her Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ in 2015, then completed a Post-Graduate PA Fellowship in Hospital Internal Medicine (Hematology/Oncology track) at Mayo Clinic Arizona. Prior to joining UT Southwestern, Amanda spent a decade in clinical practice within the Division of Hospital Internal Medicine at Mayo Clinic Arizona. During her tenure, she served as the NP/PA Hospital Internal Medicine Division Lead for Quality, and she is excited to continue to apply her passion for systems-focused, creative problem solving to QI initiatives and educational efforts at UTSW.

    Amanda’s favorite professional role is as an educator, allowing her to integrate clinical experience, academic leadership and a love for mentorship to empower the next generation of PAs. She previously served as the Associate Program Director for the Mayo Clinic Arizona NP/PA Post-Graduate Fellowship in Hospital Internal Medicine & Critical Care Medicine and as an Adjunct Professor at Midwestern University. She is honored to now be a part of the UTSW PA Program Faculty.
