  • Biography

    Jinoo Kim, M.D., Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of Radiology in our Vascular Interventional Radiology Division. His clinical expertise spans embolization therapies, endovascular treatment of arterial and venous disease, hemodialysis access, oncologic care, and advanced lymphatic interventions.

    Educated in the United Kingdom during his early years, Dr. Kim earned his M.D., M.M.Sc., and Ph.D. in South Korea. He achieved board certification in radiology in 2007 following completion of his radiology residency at Hanyang University Medical Center and completed an interventional radiology fellowship at Asan Medical Center. Before joining UT Southwestern, he was Professor and Chief of Interventional Radiology at Ajou University Hospital and Chair of the Scientific Committee for the Korean Society of Interventional Radiology.

    Dr. Kim’s research focuses on minimally invasive image-guided therapies, including embolization, angioplasty, stent implantation, and percutaneous lymphatic interventions. As an investigator on multiple clinical trials with over a hundred published papers and scientific abstracts, he regularly presents his work at global conferences. He has served as an instructor and proctor for clinical workshops and hands-on training courses, acted as a consultant for medical technology companies, and serves as a peer reviewer for leading scientific journals in interventional radiology.

    He remains an active member of international societies, including the Society of Interventional Radiology, Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology Society of Europe, and Asia Pacific Society of Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology. Dr. Kim joined our faculty in June 2026.
