  • Biography

    Yatharth Singhal, Ph.D., is a member of the Division of Medical Physics and Engineering as an Instructor at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. Singhal joined UT Southwestern after graduating from the University of Texas at Dallas.

    Dr. Singhal received his bachelor’s degree in computer science from Jaypee Institute of Information Technology in Noida, India. He earned his Master’s of Science and Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Dallas.

    Dr. Singhal’s research explores human-computer interaction (HCI), haptics, and extended reality (XR), with a focus on designing multimodal systems that deepen user immersion by harnessing principles of human perception and cognition. Dr. Singhal utilizes interactive technologies that incorporate thermal, tactile, and other sensory modalities to enhance realism and intuitive engagement within virtual environments.
