Jorge Cisneros Paz, Ph.D. Titles and Appointments Instructor Schools Medical School Departments Internal Medicine Biography Jorge Cisneros Paz, Ph.D., is a Research Instructor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. Cisneros Paz earned his bachelor's degrees in mathematics and physics from The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and his doctoral degree in applied mathematics from the University of Washington in 2022. He subsequently completed postdoctoral training in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Cisneros Paz's research interests include data-driven methods, deep learning, image analysis, numerical analysis, and optimization. His current work focuses on developing mathematical models and deep learning methods for echocardiography and the early detection of heart failure.
