Hye Jeon Hwang, M.D., Ph.D. Titles and Appointments Associate Professor School Medical School Department Radiology Biography Hye Jeon Hwang, M.D., Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of Radiology at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of its Cardiothoracic Imaging Division. Her clinical and research focus is on CT-based evaluation and quantification of interstitial lung disease and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Originally from South Korea, Dr. Hwang received her medical degree and doctoral training at the University of Ulsan College of Medicine before joining the faculty at Asan Medical Center in Seoul, where she served as an Associate Professor of Radiology. Dr. Hwang has more than 17 years of clinical experience in thoracic imaging. She joined the faculty of UT Southwestern Medical Center in January 2026 and continues to focus on clinical practice in thoracic imaging.
