Yuting Lin, Ph.D. Titles and Appointments Associate Professor School Medical School Department Radiation Oncology Biography Yuting Lin, Ph.D., Associate Professor and Director of Treatment Delivery, is a member of the Division of Medical Physics and Engineering at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. Lin joined UT Southwestern from the University of Kansas Medical Center, where she served as Associate Professor and Director of Proton Physics. Dr. Lin earned her bachelor’s degree in plasma physics from the University of Science and Technology of China, followed by a Ph.D. in physics from the University of California, Irvine. She completed her medical physics residency in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Harvard Medical School. Following residency, she served as an Assistant Professor at Duke University Medical Center, then as Assistant Professor and Associate Director of the Medical Physics Certificate Program at Emory University, before joining the University of Kansas. Dr. Lin is a highly respected medical physicist with extensive experience in clinical medical physics, especially in proton therapy. She has played key leadership roles in establishing and directing clinical physics programs at Duke University, Emory University, and the University of Kansas Medical Center. She has been actively engaged in professional service through national committees and working groups, contributing to the advancement of clinical physics practice and education.
