Biography Sonia Shoukat, M.D., is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of its Division of Hospital Medicine. Dr. Shoukat holds a bachelor's degree from Punjab University in Lahore, Pakistan. She earned her medical degree at King Edward Medical University in Lahore, and completed internal medicine residency training at Saint Joseph Hospital in Chicago. Before joining the UT Southwestern faculty in 2025, she worked as a hospitalist for six years in Southern California. She is an active member of the American College of Physicians. Personal Note Outside of medicine, she enjoys traveling, trying different cuisines, working out, and spending time with family and friends.
