Biography Nicole Johnson, M.D., is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of its Division of General Internal Medicine. She specializes in chronic disease management and preventive care for Type 2 diabetes, anxiety, depression, obesity, hypertension, and hyperlipidemia. Dr. Johnson holds a bachelor's degree in biology from Georgia State University in Atlanta, where she also earned a master's degree in molecular genetics and biochemistry. She earned her medical degree at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee, and completed internal medicine residency training at John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County in Chicago, Illinois. Prior to joining the UT Southwestern faculty in 2025, Dr. Johnson served as a primary care physician in private practice. Dr. Johnson is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Medical Women’s Association, the C.V. Roman Medical Society, and the National Medical Association. She has published peer-reviewed academic articles and abstracts related to her areas of expertise.
