Taha Moussa, M.D.

Taha Moussa, M.D., RhMSUS, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He specializes in autoimmune, autoinflammatory, and immune dysregulation disorders in children and adolescents at Children’s Medical Center Dallas.

Dr. Moussa has held academic roles at the University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville, where he was an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics. He joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2026.

Dr. Moussa earned his medical degree at the Faculty of Medicine at Suez Canal University in Egypt. He completed a residency in pediatrics and gained advanced training through a pediatric neurology fellowship at Hamad Medical Corporation in Qatar.

Dr. Moussa then completed a pediatric rheumatology fellowship at the University of Chicago Medical Center, followed by an additional residency in pediatrics in the Boston Combined Residency Program at Harvard Medical School and Boston Children’s Hospital.

Dr. Moussa’s academic interests include cytokine-mediated inflammatory disease, hyperinflammatory syndromes, and biologic therapies targeting innate immune pathways. He completed advanced ultrasound training through the Ultrasound School of North American Rheumatologists and completed his musculoskeletal ultrasound certification in rheumatology (RhMSUS) in 2026.

In 2025, Dr. Moussa received the Top Provider Award from the University of Florida – Jacksonville. He has delivered presentations and authored peer-reviewed academic publications related to his areas of expertise.
