  • Biography

Mina Mirjalili, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Interventional Psychiatry Division. Dr. Mirjalili specializes in precision psychiatry and personalized neuromodulation, integrating neurophysiology, neuroimaging, and artificial intelligence to understand individual differences in brain function and optimize targeted brain stimulation.

She earned her B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering and M.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering, followed by a Ph.D. in Computational Neuroscience from the University of Toronto. She completed postdoctoral fellowships at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health and the Harquail Centre for Neuromodulation at Sunnybrook Research Institute.

A major focus of her research is cognition and brain health in older adults, using computational modeling to personalize non-invasive brain stimulation approaches such as tACS and tDCS, with the goal of slowing cognitive decline.
