Biography Agnes Ewongwo, M.D., M.P.H., is an Assistant Professor at UT Southwestern Medical Center and is part of the Department of Radiation Oncology. She came to UT Southwestern after completing her residency at Stanford University. Dr. Ewongwo earned her bachelor’s degree in health science at the University of Arizona before receiving her Master of Public Health and M.D. from the University of Arizona College of Medicine. Dr. Ewongwo joined Stanford University’s Radiation Oncology Residency Program after spending a transitional year at the Tucson Hospitals Medical Education Program. Dr. Ewongwo has a diverse background in public health, nonprofit leadership, and global medical education. She developed and led a web-based radiation oncology training program for residents in Kenya and Tanzania, and mentored clinical and physics trainees at Kenyatta National Hospital and Ocean Road Cancer Institute. She also has a strong passion for improving access and delivery of oncologic care in low- and middle-income countries.
