Biography Lindsey Morris, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern and a member of its Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. She specializes in high-acuity cardiopulmonary care and advanced clinical diagnostics. Dr. Morris holds a bachelor's degree in biology from Mississippi College in Clinton, Mississippi. She earned her medical degree at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson and completed internal medicine residency training at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. She then obtained fellowship training in pulmonary and critical care medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. She received additional procedural and critical care training in ultrasound, pulmonary embolism response, and ECMO (extracorporeal membrane oxygenation) cannulation. Dr. Morris' academic interests center on clinical teaching and simulation-based education in pulmonary and critical care medicine, with a focus on mechanical ventilation, point-of-care ultrasound, and procedural instruction. Her research interests include the physiologic management of acute respiratory failure, lung disease, pulmonary embolism evaluation using point-of-care ultrasound, and complex airway and pleural complications in critical illness.
