Atkinson, M.D., graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, as well as from the general adult psychiatry residency training program at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic. Additionally, Dr. Atkinson graduated from the geriatric psychiatry fellowship training program at the University of Minnesota and Minneapolis Veterans Affairs Health Care System. Dr. Atkinson is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and also earned the Geriatric Psychiatry Certificate.
