  • Biography

    Sruthi Sivabhaskar, Ph.D., is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. Sivabhaskar earned her bachelor’s degree in science, physics, and mathematics from Texas A&M University and followed by completing her Ph.D. in radiological sciences-therapeutic medical physics from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. She completed her radiation oncology medical physics residency training at UT Southwestern prior to staying on as faculty in the Department’s Division of Medical Physics & Engineering.

    Dr. Sivabhaskar has authored and co-authored several peer-reviewed publications addressing topics such as machine learning-based prediction of treatment delivery performance, monitoring radiation dose to critical organs, adaptive brachytherapy for gynecologic cancers, automated contouring, and deep learning applications in treatment planning.

    Additionally, she has presented her work at leading national and international conferences, including the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM), Southwest Chapter of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (SWAAPM), and European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology (ESTRO), on topics such as MR-guided adaptive radiotherapy, radiation therapy quality control, organ-at-risk dose monitoring, automated treatment planning, and machine learning approaches to treatment delivery and plan quality assessment.
