  • Biography

    Savreet Sarkaria, M.D., is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of its Division of Digestive and Liver Diseases. Her clinical focus is in GI cancer screening and treatment, pancreatic cancer, pancreatic cysts, biliary tract disorders, interventional endoscopy, endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), and colonoscopy.

    Dr. Sarkaria earned her medical degree at the Medical College of Pennsylvania/Hahnemann College of Medicine in Pennsylvania, and completed internal medicine residency training at Temple University Hospital. She received advanced training through a gastroenterology, hepatology, and nutrition fellowship and additional training through a therapeutic endoscopy fellowship at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Irving Medical Center.

    Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in internal medicine and gastroenterology, Dr. Sarkaria joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2024.

    In her free time, Dr. Sarkaria enjoys cooking, playing tennis, and spending time with her family, friends, and dogs.
