Bingqing Xie, Ph.D. Assistant Professor School Medical School Department Internal Medicine Biography Bingqing Xie, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of its Division of Hematology & Oncology. Her clinical interests include the diagnosis, prognosis, and management of kidney cancer. Dr. Xie holds a Ph.D. in computer science from Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago. She received her postdoctoral training in bioinformatics from the University of Chicago, focusing on ovarian cancer and inflammatory bowel disease. Dr. Xie joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2024. She is excited to collaborate with brilliant minds, advancing cutting-edge discoveries in cancer care while making a meaningful impact on patients' lives. Dr. Xie's research interests include the influence of genetics on cancer, biomarker discovery using machine learning, and large-scale multi-omics data integration. Her investigations have resulted in over 50 publications in peer-reviewed journals and contributions to one book chapter. Additionally, she has presented her findings at scientific conferences throughout the United States. Dr. Xie's research focuses on leveraging machine learning and bioinformatics to address critical challenges in kidney cancer. Her work centers on large-scale multi-omics data integration to uncover key genetic drivers and biomarkers specific to kidney cancer. By analyzing next-generation sequencing data, she aims to identify novel insights that can inform precision medicine approaches for diagnosis and treatment. In addition to her research, Dr. Xie is committed to building a comprehensive clinical and research platform that integrates kidney cancer-specific clinical data with advanced machine learning tools, enhancing accessibility for researchers across various disciplines.
