Hao Gao, Ph.D. Titles and Appointments Professor School Medical School Department Radiation Oncology Biography Hao Gao, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology's Division of Medical Physics & Engineering at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. Gao joined UT Southwestern after serving as Associate Professor and Director of Physics Research at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Dr. Gao received his Ph.D. in computational mathematics from the University of California, Irvine. After completing his medical physics residency in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Duke University Medical Center, Dr. Gao spent three years as an Assistant Professor at the Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University. Dr. Gao has been a member of the AAPM Medical Physics Board of Associate Editors since 2021. Education Graduate School (2010), Mathematics Honors & Awards John S.
