  • Biography

    Bruce Stewart, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of its Division of Hospital Medicine. His is based at Parkland Hospital.

    Dr. Stewart earned his medical degree at Louisiana State University (LSU) Health Shreveport and completed internal medicine residency training at UT Southwestern and Parkland Hospital.

    Dr. Stewart initially joined the UT Southwestern faculty as an Instructor in 1995.  He returned in 2023 after holding faculty appointments at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and Weill Cornell Medical School.

    Prior to joining UT Southwestern, Dr. Stewart served at Ochsner Baptist in New Orleans, New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York City, and Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton. New Jersey. 

    He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
