Biography

Cassidy Onukwuli, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of the Division of Nephrology. She specializes in general nephrology, glomerulonephritis, women’s health, and chronic kidney disease.

Dr. Onukwuli is a Texas native who earned her medical degree at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine. She completed a residency in internal medicine at the Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Texas and gained advanced training through a fellowship in nephrology at Duke University Medical Center, where she served as Chief Fellow.

Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, she joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2023.

Dr. Onukwuli is a member of the American Society of Nephrology and the National Kidney Foundation.

In her spare time, Dr. Onukwuli enjoys traveling abroad and spending time with family.
