  • Biography

Rameshwar Prasad, M.S., Ph.D., DABSNM, is an Associate Professor of Radiation Oncology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He is faculty in the Department of Radiation Oncology’s Division of Medical Physics & Engineering.

Dr. Prasad earned his Ph.D. in medical physics from the Department of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging at the University of Geneva in Switzerland. Following that, he completed his postdoctoral clinical training in PET/CT and nuclear medicine physics at Yale University School of Medicine.

Prior to joining UT Southwestern, Dr. Prasad served as an Associate Professor at Rush University’s (Chicago) Department of Diagnostic Radiology and Nuclear Medicine. Dr Prasad’s clinical focus is PET/SPECT-guided adaptive radiation therapy and combinational radiation therapies.

Dr. Prasad has authored over 60 publications and research articles on topics relating to nuclear medicine, PET/CT imaging, radiomics, and quantitative analysis in medical imaging. He is also an active reviewer for a multitude of scientific journals, including the Journal of Nuclear Medicine, European Journal of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging, and Physics in Medicine and Biology.
