Biography Mustafa Tunc, M.D., is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medicine Center and a hospitalist within the Division of Hospital Medicine. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and initially joined UT Southwestern in September 2023 as a faculty member in the Division of General Internal Medicine, where he practiced outpatient primary care and staffed inpatient teaching wards until transitioning to his current hospitalist role in September 2025. Dr. Tunc’s clinical interests include inpatient care, complex care management, care transitions, and optimizing patient safety and quality outcomes. He is also passionate about medical education and enjoys mentoring medical students and residents during their clinical training. Originally from Turkey, Dr. Tunc received his medical degree from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 2015 and completed his internal medicine residency training at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital in Ohio in 2020. Prior to joining UT Southwestern, he served as a primary care physician with Swedish Medical Group in Redmond, Washington.
