  • Biography

    Clayton Jackson, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of its Division of Hematology & Oncology

    Originally from Alpharetta, Georgia, Dr. Jackson spent his formative years in South Florida. He holds a bachelor's degree in neuroscience, and minored in chemistry at the University of Miami, where he graduated cum laude. He earned his medical degree at Georgia Regents University Medical College of Georgia and received internal medicine residency training at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He then completed additional training in advanced cellular therapy and bone marrow transplant through a fellowship at Stanford Medical Center in California.

    Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in hematology and medical oncology, Dr. Jackson joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2023.

    Dr. Jackson's research interests include acute leukemias, allogeneic transplants, and adoptive cell therapies. His investigations have been published in peer-reviewed academic journals and he has delivered presentations at scientific conferences.

    In his free time, Dr. Jackson enjoys the quiet life with his family and two dogs or watching the Miami Hurricanes play football.
