Biography Huzair Ali, M.D., M.P.H., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern and a member of its Division of Nephrology. Dr. Ali received his medical education from Dow University of Health Sciences in Karachi, Pakistan, and completed internal medicine residency training at the University of Oklahoma in Oklahoma City. He then earned a master's degree in public health from the Bloomberg School of Public Health in Baltimore, Maryland, focusing on childhood malnutrition in Pakistan, and obtained advanced clinical training through a fellowship in nephrology at UT Southwestern. Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Ali joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2025. Dr. Ali's clinical and research interests include nephrology, heart failure management, kidney transplantation outcomes, global health, and medical education. He is an active member of the American College of Physicians and the American Society of Nephrology.
