Biography Haaris Beg, M.D., is Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of its Division of Hematology & Oncology. He specializes in internal medicine and hospital medicine. Dr. Beg earned his medical degree at Dartmouth's Geisel School of Medicine in New Hampshire and completed internal medicine residency training at NYU Langone Health. Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Beg joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2023. Dr. Beg is a former clinical investigator and research assistant who has given multiple presentations on a wide range of subjects, including pulmonary medicine, gastroenterology, orthopedic surgery, and dermatopathology. He has also contributed to several peer-reviewed articles and abstracts in his areas of expertise. In 2022, Dr. Beg earned the Excellence in Inpatient Care Award from the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center Department of Medicine. Dr. Beg is a member of multiple professional societies, including the American College of Physicians, the American Association of Physician Leadership, and the Society of Hospital Medicine, where he served on the Ethics Executive Council.
