Biography Joined UT Southwestern: 2025 Clinical Interests: Dr. Parekh's clinical interest is in optimizing epilepsy care for her patients and providing pre-surgical evaluation for potential epilepsy surgery and neuromodulation. She has a special interest in caring for people with child bearing potential. Other clinical interests include long-term EEG monitoring in critical care, autoimmune epilepsy, and understanding potential drug interactions and side effects of antiseizure medications. Trainee Education: Dr. Parekh provides mentorship to current neurology residents, epilepsy/CNP fellows, and medical students. Special Role: Working towards establishing the Epilepsy Clinic for People with Epilepsy of Childbearing Potential (PWECP) which is a specialized clinic focused on management of epilepsy across the reproductive lifespan, especially during periparptum. Background: Dr. Parekh completed her fellowships in Clinical Neurophysiology and Epilepsy at UT Southwestern before joining as faculty. She completed her neurology residency at Stony Brook University Hospital and internal medicine year at Northwell Mather Hospital. She completed her medical training at NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine.
