Jennifer Smith, M.D.

Jennifer Smith M.D., is an Assistant Professor of Radiology at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of its Pediatric Radiology Division. 

Dr. Smith joined our faculty in February 2023.

Dr. Smith holds a bachelor's degree in biology from the University of Houston. She earned her medical degree from University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. Dr. Smith completed her diagnostic radiology residency at Drexel University MCP/Hahnemann University Hospitals in addition to a pediatric radiology fellowship at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children, both programs located in Philadelphia. Dr. Smith completed coursework and additional physician certification in cardiovascular CT in 2020.

Since joining faculty at UTSW in February 2023, Dr. Smith cares for patients receiving general pediatric radiology studies as well as those undergoing cardiac CT at Children's Medical Center in Dallas. She also spends a significant amount of clinical and research time with fetal and placenta MRI at Clements University Hospital and Parkland Health.

Dr. Smith is a member of several national and international professional organizations, including the Radiological Society of North America, Society of Pediatric Radiology, Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography, Pan American Society of the Placenta Accreta Spectrum (board member) and the Texas Medical Association.

Dr. Smith values being part of a multidisciplinary team of clinicians focused on the shared goal of patient recovery. She also loves fostering the next generation of healthcare providers to ensure a lasting impact on patient care.
