  • Biography

    Alissar El Chediak, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center and a member of the Division of Nephrology. She specializes in transplant nephrology, especially kidney, dual organ, and pancreas transplants.

    Dr. El Chediak earned her medical degree at the American University of Beirut, where she also completed internal medicine residency training. She gained advanced training through fellowships in nephrology and transplantation at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Tennessee.

    Dr. El Chediak joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2023. Her clinical interests include incompatible-blood-type kidney transplants and simultaneous kidney and pancreas transplants.

    Dr. El Chediak has published several peer-reviewed academic articles, abstracts, and case reports related to her areas of expertise.

    She is a member of the American Society of Transplantation and its Kidney Pancreas Community of Practice.

    In her free time, Dr. El Chediak enjoys functional strength training, traveling, and shopping.
