Biography Andrei Odobescu, M.D., Ph.D., FACS is a highly skilled board-certified plastic surgeon at UT Southwestern Medical Center. His practice extends across Parkland Memorial Hospital and the Dallas Veterans Affairs Medical Center, where he specializes in whole-body burn microsurgical reconstruction, trauma reconstruction and breast reconstruction. His passion for microsurgical burn reconstruction, a procedure involving the transplantation of healthy tissue, including nerves, to restore damaged areas of the body, brought him to UT Southwestern in Dallas. As a part of the plastic surgery team, he is driven by his expertise at a renowned hospital with a robust burn unit, allowing him to advance his work in burn reconstruction. Dr. Odobescu is also on staff at Children's Health as a pediatric plastic and craniofacial surgeon specialing in burn and trauma patients.
